This thesis aims to deepen the theme of the interaction between children with disabilities and smart objects, how it impacts in their environment and what are the potentialities of these objects. ABLE; a smart ball that aims to empower the sensorimotor skills in children with disabilities, is based on the Magic Ball project developed by a partnership between Association L’Abilità Onlus, Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca and Politecnico di Milano.

The objective of the project is to provide a solution to the problems encountered during the testing phase of the Magic ball, strengthen the sensory stimuli and simplify the interaction with the users.
