We mainly deal with material selection criteria and innovation in the field of material and surface design.
Our attention is focused on functional materials, nanotechnologies and surface functionalization, looking at the manufacturing, textile and packaging sectors.

We are a multidisciplinary group belonging to the "Giulio Natta" Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering which holds courses within the School of Design.

Siamo coinvolti nell’ambito del progetto Horizon Europe R3PACK. Il nostro ruolo rientra nella parte di valutazioni di Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) di imballaggi a prevalenza cellulosica ad elevate prestazioni.
We've been selected by the ADI Design Index 2023. In one case it was about a research on emerging material trends, whereas in the second one it was about a M.Sc. thesis in collaboration with the IIT (Italian Institute of Technology).
We managed a special issue for Sustainability Journal (MDPI). The call was "Sustainable Materials: Finding Innovative Practices and Solutions for a Changing Economy”.
