The interest in biopolymer research is driven by the growing demand for sustainable products, supported by both industry and responsible consumers.

After an initial phase of research, aimed at identifying and analyzing the state of the art regarding the development and industrial applications of some biopolymers, PLA and cellulose were selected for the current study. The experimental phase involved the extrusion of different composition percentages, reaching 50% of reinforcement by weight. The material was then tensile tested so that its mechanical properties could be determined, finally proceeding with the definition of contexts and application scenarios.
