The goal of the project is the development of a fashion line and a line of design objects, whose main feature is the use of the luminous Dreamlux® fabric; an optical fiber fabric that lights up thanks to the presence of LEDs, generating high-impact scenic effects.

Different processing techniques have been developed to ensure that the luminous Dreamlux® fabric could be combined with traditional textile fibers such as silk, leather to highlight the exclusivity of the product. From concepts we then moved on to product development, to the engineering phase and finally to the creation of prototypes. At the same time, sol gel treatments for self-cleaning and antibacterial properties were developed to treat the material and subsequently characterize it.

An excellence workshop was also organized with the participation of new graduates from the Design Department of the Politecnico di Milano. The proposed brief was the application of Dreamlux material in sportswear for the fashion sector, while for product design the focus was on applications in outdoor design.
